EPCOT 2020 International Food & Wine Festival

Despite the rain, heat and Covid10 we had a great time attending the 2020 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. We decided to avoid the hottest part of the day by arriving at the park after 3PM. The heat and humidity in Central Florida can be so intense during the summer months that you can almost cut the air with a knife! With all that humidity you can almost set your watch to the daily afternoon thunderstorms that role through between 3 & 5 daily. Anticipating this, we brought our rain gear and flip-flops like the prepared park enthusiasts that we are!

Within minutes of arrival the storm clouds rolled in, the wind kicked up and the temperature dropped by several degrees. Ahhhh, we made the right choice! Victory!!! We made our way to the World Showcase despite the weather and proceeded to enjoy some delectable delights offered by this popular festival. A highlight for us was the Vegan food we consumed at the Earth Eats booth where we had the Impossible Meatball & Chocolate Pudding Terrarium. Watch our YouTube video to see our reaction. YUMMY!

The next highlight for us was discovering the Burtons Maple Syrup booth located inside the tented area between the Canada and Great Britain pavilions. We love maple syrup and on our trips to Canada we have gone out of our way to purchase some of the best syrup on the planet! We had never heard of Burtons Maplewood Farm and they offered a tasting of their unique syrups. Wow, our tastebuds were in heaven! We ended up purchasing several bottles and can now say this is our FAVORITE Maple Syrup! Watch our YouTube video for the full experience.

We ended our day eating some delicious pasta and flat bread from the Italy festival booth. Attending this festival along with the International Art Festival at EPCOT yearly bring us a lot of Happiness. Even under the "new normal" this years festival still delivered a fun and unique experience that we will cherish in our memories.
